OUR MISSION IS TO SET GOD'S PEOPLE FREE BY WALKING IN SOLIDARITY WITH INCARCERATED MEN TO REALIZE THAT GOD’S ENDLESS LOVE SEES ALL OF US AS WHOLE AND WORTHY OF LEADING LIVES OF IMPORTANCE, MEANING AND PURPOSE.

WE SEEK TO FULFILL OUR MISSION BY PROVIDING PASTORAL CARE, CLASSES AND WORSHIP EACH WEEK BEHIND THE WALLS IN THE DAVIDSON COUNTY JAIL, PROVIDING MENTORSHIP AFTER RELEASE, AND WORKING WITH OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO INSURE SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS OF OUR MEMBERS.

THE CHURCH OF ANOTHER CHANCE IS THE ONLY FULL-TIME CHURCH IN THE UNITED STATES THAT WORKS EXCLUSIVELY WITH MEN WHO ARE INCARCERATED IN METROPOLITAN JAILS.

Dear friends, this unedited letter from one of our members says more about the powerful work of our Church than anything I might write to say thank you for your past love and support of our mission. I send it today in gratitude and with the boundless hope that you consider us again with a donation to our Church so that we can continue to work with men like Patrick, who sometimes find we are their only hope.       Peace, Pastor Scott  HTTP://WWW.CHURCHOFANOTHERCHANCE.ORG

New Covenant Christian Church (DOC) is in partnership with Meharry’s Reach 2020 project to increase access to affordable fresh fruits, vegetables and essential foods to those living in the 37207, 37208, and 37209 zip codes which will in turn decrease the risk of preventable chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and some forms of cancer.  This Mobile Market comes to New Covenant each Friday from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. The market accepts EBT/SNAP Benefits, as well as cash, credit cards and debit cards.
Each Year, New Covenant hosts its very own Pink Sunday Worship Service to celebrate life, increase awareness and inspire hope to those that have been affected by breast cancer. This service will be held on October 9, 2016 at 10:00 am.
New Covenant prides itself on being “An Oasis of Wholeness”.  We believe that the physical and mental health of all God’s children is just as important as their spiritual health. Medical moments are taught in Worship on the second Sunday of every month. These 5-7 minutes are packed with detailed information about a specific disease or disorder, the cause, preventive measures as well as valuable resources for follow-up.

29 people have begun a 30-week in-depth Bible Study: "Kerygma: Discover the Bible." Pastor Jay is preaching this year on texts used in the Kerygma study. Questions and insights from the class will serve as a launching point for the sermons.
Also, ECC's choir is growing and is looking forward to singing at Regional Assembly
ECC added a second service in 2016 because we were running out of room in the sanctuary.
ECC is officially Open & Affirming and not only welcomes but values the spiritual gifts of all people.
