What is Innovate 2017? A Leadership Conference for Tennessee Disciples Clergy, focused on exposing them to Innovative, Creative Models of Ministry.
What Will We Do? We will share conversation and network, tour spaces that have been renovated or used creatively, and hear the stories of colleagues who have taken risks, explored creative solutions, and done innovative ministry in often challenging contexts.
Where Will We Stay? A Block of rooms has been reserved at the historic Read House Hotel for $129.00 per night (http://www.thereadhousehotel.com). Room Block Dead line is 4/04. Well-maintained and in the heart of downtown, it is a short walk or drive from First Christian Church. Another fun option is The Crash Pad, a Hostel-style hotel with shared or private rooms. Situated in Chattanooga’s South Side, it is in walking distance of terrific restaurants and unique shopping. Rates range from $35 for a bunk to private rooms that go for $85-$110. Chattanooga also boasts an extensive Airbnb network which provides options ranging from basic to luxurious, starting at $23 per night (airbnb.com). “Kids to Camp Sunday” is a day designed especially for youth, adults, and tentative campers. This day is to serve as an informational day to
- wear camp t-shirts
- share photos, letters, videos and slides from past camp experiences
- share testimonies and stories about what camp means to those who attend, and what it will mean to those “up and coming campers”
