Purpose
The purpose of Disciples Women is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ and to provide a channel through which women of the Tennessee Region of the Christian Church may be joined in fellowship and find means for effective participation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

West Area Spiritual Journey
On March 16, 2024, the West Area held their annual Spiritual Journey at New Direction Christian Church, DOC. The theme was Cultivating a Community of Compassion: Be a Crown Fixer. The scripture reference was Proverbs 31:25-26. The West Area Coordinator and District Liaisons worked collectively to produce an outstanding program. Our Resource Leader was Rev. Dr. Debra Reid. There were about 100 ladies that attended from over ten churches extending from Collierville to Alamo Tennessee. The West Area Disciples Women’s service project for the next two year is Room In The Inn (RITN). We will provide supplies, bus passes, partner with host churches and donate Christmas gifts.
Middle Area Spiritual Journey
The TN Disciples Middle Area Spiritual Journey was held on April 27th at Alameda Christian Church in Nashville. Disciples women from all over middle Tennessee region gathered and enjoyed a day of fellowship, friendship, a wonderful lunch and spiritual renewal.
Our Middle area service project is Safe Haven Family Shelter. Rev. Hope Hodnett spoke about the impact our support makes in the lives of women and children in our community. By the generosity of the middle area women, we raised funds and much needed items for Safe Haven on Saturday.
