Regional Staff

Rev. Dr. Christal L. Williams joined the staff as Regional Minister and President on August 1, 2016. Her duties include pastoral oversight for congregations, and regional ministries and she serves as the chief executive officer of the region. As Regional Minister, Dr. Christal works with the Regional Board, Search and Call and Pastoral Care of Congregations and Commission on Ministry.  She also works with the Disciples Divinity House at Vanderbilt, and so much more. She also serves as liaison to the General Church in several capacities, including General Board, College of Regional Ministers, and Center For Faith and Giving, Christian Church Foundation
and the International Disciples Women’s Ministry.

A native of Ohio, she has served the Christian Church in Illinois-Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa, and Indiana. Christal has a B.S. from Jarvis Christian University, Hawkins, Texas, and an M.Div. from Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, IN.

Dr. Christal has four nieces and nephews, and five Godchildren whom she loves dearly.
