This training is for Clergy and those under the care of the Commission on Ministry.

Whereas the Christian Church in Tennessee has required the healthy boundaries training for all persons with standing in the region for over 20 years, as well as for all candidates for ordination and commissioning. Therefore, be it resolved that the Christian Church in Tennessee will require all persons with standing (clergy and commissioned) to attend an approved Healthy Boundaries training at least every 5 years to maintain standing within the region.

Objectives

  1. To illustrate the impact of appropriate vs. inappropriate boundaries in promoting effective ministry
  2. To provide clergy and spiritual teachers with guidelines and suggestions for developing appropriate boundaries and necessary self-care strategies
  3. To increase awareness of the need for healthy boundaries in the clergy-congregant relationship.
